![]() The main objective of a C.H.S.P.S.A. is not just to service the Charlemont High School community but in the workplace, and throughout the world. C.H.S.P.S.A’s community development programs will address many of today’s most critical issues like health, hunger, the environment, and literacy. Many of the associations projects will focus on vocational issues, promoting high ethical standards, and help young people and others become and remain productive members of Society. How can we accomplish so much? The Charlemont High Past Student Association Committee meets every First Saturday of each month at 7:00pm. Responsible membership includes the following commitments: • Annual dues, a portion of our dues support humanitarian programs. In addition, there is a one-time initiationfee to offset the costs associated with joining the Association. • Support Charlemont High Past student Association with its Annual Programs Fund (suggested giving: $100 annually, via Sustaining Member pledge). • Any other expenses associated with membership are optional for which it is your choice to participate. • Members are required to maintain a 60% attendance record. • Each Monthly meeting has a program of general interest to members. Club Service & Administration This includes behind the scenes activities that enable the club to function effectively. Members who participate in club service & administration promote interaction between club members through activities like monthly meetings, club programs, and hosting other social activities. Community Service is the effort of our club’s members to address critical issues affecting Charlemont High as well as in our local community or even worldwide. Members invest time and monetary support in several activities: • Support humanitarian projects in developing countries (education, water, etc...)• Participate in School Mentoring Program. • Vocational Service activities include having members share an overview of their job, company or career. • Participation in various fund raising activities. Membership focus is important for the ongoing vitality of the club. Our association can do more when there are more members. While size is not important, continuing to bring in new members to replace those members who move or leave the club is essential. Public Relations & Marketing is also essential to the Association. Promoting C.H.S.P.S.A. helps to generate support for the programs and projects undertaken by us, as well as to attract new members. |
